about

'This thing looks lovely. It’s a DVD sized cardy thing with a mounted photo and if you check out the innards there’s even more photo mounting (I love a bit of mounting), some tracing paper with words on it and there’s 2 CDs (one big and one small) mounted onto 2 small black rubbery nipples. Lovely. If you’ve not heard these guys before then they make a very Celtic kind of traditional folk full of flutes acoustic guitar, piano, breathy vocals, some occasional droning and things like that. Personally I prefer the instrumental tracks but that’s just me being misanthropic. I’ve heard just about enough people’s voices today as I can deal with. It’s their 3rd album in case you didn’t know and this one features lots of guest folks like Richard Moult, Gavin Prior etc. It’s a thoroughly enjoyable listen and the blend of folk and drone works rather well and succeeds in creating a unique sound.' about

Agitated Radio Pilot Ireland

'Colohan seems to have a preternatural sense of the elemental, those dark places we all go to take off our disguises. So many artists have treaded this ground before and seemed insincere, but Colohan's vulnerability, his human voice that presents these unadorned truths without spin or motive, makes me want to listen and believe.'
